When you're raised as the only child like I was, you're often forced to find ways to keep yourself entertained. Even at just 3 years old I was either memorizing early 2000’s Beyoncé music videos choreography to perform or questioning the relevance of “such a complicated species”. It was obvious I was a very curious child and my parents kept me busy with many activities.  From competitive cheer and dance to modeling, and even basketball. I did it all and yet I still had so many questions. Acting is where I  began to find answers. Hello, there my name is Se’An Boatner and the privilege to illuminate“ humanity” as Viola Davis says is something I cherish above all else. Instead of questioning and judging the complexity of life as I once did as a little girl, Acting has raised me to embrace all of our labyrinthine lives and share stories that are not only beautiful but that I now see as so much more than relevant.
